Researcher

Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology

I'm a researcher in Data Science in the group of René Meier at the Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology.

I received my PhD in Computer Science from ETH Zurich,  where I was lucky to be advised by David Steurer.

My research is on algorithmic aspects of Data Science, Machine Learning and High-Dimensional Statistics.  In particular, I'm interested in algorithms for estimation problems with provable guarantees, computational lower bounds, robust algorithms and outlier removal techniques.

I like ballroom dancing. I participate in competitions with my wife Elena. In 2022 we took first place in Championships of Bern and Thurgau (Latin, Class D).
